Kubuntu 7.04 to 7.10

I upgraded from Kubuntu 7.04 to 7.10 a couple of days ago using Adept. 
All seemed well except I could not connect to my 3Com ADSL router. I got 
the message: "disconnected". It worked without trouble with 7.04.


After some time I gave up and reverted to Kubuntu 7.04 which works as 
before. I shall wait a while before trying again to upgrade to 7.10.

Anyone had the same problem and if so how did you overcome the snag?
