Solved: Update for ClamAV failing

The problem is solved, in spite of my ignorance.
When I attempted to update within ClamAV's own window using the update
tab, as opposed to allowing the "on boot" popup window to try the
install, the installation wizard informed that an error occurred and to
look in the installation log file.
I determined from the log that the packages zlib and zlib-dev had not
been installed.
Installing zlibc and zlibc-dev through the Adept Manager, and then doing
a full upgrade
allowed me to then go back into ClamAV's window, and install the upgrade.
(In Adept these two packages have the Kubuntu icon located next to them,
which I take to mean that they are the versions for Kubuntu?)

I now have two ClamAV icons in my tray, but the program has upgraded to
version 0.90.3.
Interesting the way it works....I think. Someday I'll learn enough to
figure out what I'm doing <g>.
