Update for ClamAV failing

Has anyone else experienced this?
Running Kubuntu Feisty 7.04 on a New PC

ClamAV pops up a window :
Title Bar reads "Download and Install ClamAV-0.90.3"
Text in the window says: "It looks like your version of the ClamAv
engine is out of date! ClamAV-0.90.3 is the most recent version
of ClamAV available. Would you like to KlamAV to download and compile
it for you? "(sic)

Buttons at the bottom of the window show "Download and Install
ClamAV-0.90.3" and "cancel"

Clicking on the download button starts the process:
the "downloading window" shows up with the back and forth indication,
and another window shows a percentage of the download.

When that second window reaches 100% however, both windows disappear,
and are replaced by a small window saying "couldn't download ClamAV"
with an "ok" button.

Is there a workaround?
During boot, it seems that ClamAV loads fine, including the "milter" for
e-mail.
This now happens each time I boot the computer...five times in 5 days.
Annoying if nothing else.

Best,
WJ Seidl
