I am jumping in on this a little late but, if I remember correctly,
you have 128 MB ram.  From what I can find that is not enough to run
7.04 LiveCD properly.  Also, I tired the same thing on my PIII 733
with 512 MB ram.  It's just very slooooooooooooooow.  I thought the
machine hung on me but eventually it happened.
