yep it works...glad i gave that advice :-) doesn't work for me however
on th pcs as I need hp AIO support for scanning present in HPLIP but not
in Gutenprint.  and I result in a conflict between the two.

I tried compiling a custom version of Gutenprint to avoid this but
haven;t got that to work out yet,

I do use this on the powerpcs however as HPLIP scanning is broken there
anyway.

But thanks for the reminder and no I don't have alzheimers yet....I just
never mentioned  MY probs as you ARE using Epson.  Wouldn,t apply.
