Totally unnecessary. OOo 2.1 RPMs are easily 'aliened' into debs that install
in /opt without any conflicts. The only things you have to do are
1. use the alien --scripts flag when converting the openoffice-core* RPMs, and
2. create symlinks in your path and/or .desktop icons, and
3. optionally change your mimelinks to point to the new version rather than
the OOo 2.02.
This way you have a native OOo without the translation layer of
wine/crossover.
