Yet another kmail mystery

I reckon you're right, it's prob a gmail thing. Still, be nice if kmail had 
a 'timeout' setting somewhere.

On my end the holdup seems to be after the mail was checked -- it sits on "no 
new messages from gmail" at 100% and just stays there, never cutting the line 
and therefore never trying again until I get in the next day.

That's a cool idea - I must look around. Something that shows up on the 
taskbar would be best.
