New xserver-xorg-video-intel Breaks Something...

Some may have noticed that there was a new version of the Intel video
drivers released as xserver-xorg-video-intel (in Feisty).  I installed
them, and they promptly broke xorg.  I had to install the older
version.  Does anyone know anything about this?  I have an Intel
i855GM, and I just thought someone else might know something.
