kubuntu ati radeon pci-e X1600 graphics card problem

I'm running the mobility x1600 under kubuntu 6.10 in my laptop.  The 
default ati driver installed fine when I first installed kubuntu.  If 
you want to use fglrx (I did), try this:

I'm a noob, and this works like a charm!
