Once I began to have no sound where I used to have.
I tried with kmix quite all I could do.
But reading https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting I
have tried to use
alsamixer in a konsole (use arrows keys, and M to mute/unmute channels).
[alsamixer is in alsa-utils package]
That did fix my problem. Since then, I got the feeling kmix is missing
something alsamixer have.
There is also https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DebuggingSoundProblems
that is there too.
