Konqueror vs. Firefox -- Accessing Gmail

Just change Konqueror's Browser Identification to either Firefox 1.5.0.4 or to 
Safari and you'll be able to use Gmail in Konqueror. Like what Derek said, 
Konqueror is standards-compliant, but Gmail isn't. And Google has 
deliberately chosen not to include Konqueror/KHTML in their list of supported 
browsers/engines.

AJAX is relatively new and there isn't any standard for it. So it's really a 
hit or miss kind of thing. Scripts on the other hand are a different thing. 
There's a standard version of Javascript called ECMAScript and I believe 
Konqueror follows that version, but other sites probably don't.
