OK, I tried to use aptitude today to do a routine update/upgrade. Used
aptitude's command line, rather than ncurses interface. This is what I got:
$ sudo aptitude update
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading extended state information
Initializing package states... Done
Writing extended state information... Done
Building tag database... Done
Writing extended state information... Done
<retrieving updates from repos, just like apt-get>
$ sudo aptitude upgrade

libopensc1 libpcsclite1 libpolyp0 libtiff-tools
libxml-writer-perl python-uno python2.3-zopeinterface

Do you want to continue? [Y/n/?] n
Abort.
Looks like it wants to remove a lot of stuff that it shouldn't. What's wrong?
