Very easy to make a xp.vmx...
Download and install vmware workstation
http://zerlinna.blogspot.com/2006/02/launching-livecds-with-vmware.html
good link to install kubuntu stuff...
change vmware work station instead vmplayer (vmware will give you a demo
licence for 30d)
then make your vmx
after doing it all...
install vmplayer and it works fine and run your vmx (you keep the vmware
tools if you installed them ...better do it :)
