Go to  http://www.kubuntu.org/download.php and choose a download mirror
near you.

On each of this mirrors are two differnt iso´s.
e.g.:
kubuntu-5.10-install-i386.iso 	-> to install Kubuntu

kubuntu-5.10-live-i386.iso	-> boot from a live CD
				   (similar to knoppix)

The live CD is allways a good tool for repairing a broken system.
