Update: KSCD: Autoplay when CD inserted NOT selected BUT...

Well by what seams like a fluke of some kind my problem went away...

I decided to prevent the wee hours start up surprise by setting kde to
restore manually saved session rather than the last session...

Then I organized my desktop clutter by closing all but a few
applications (making very sure that kscd was NOT running) and saved the
session.

Suddenly kscd is behaving even when I insert a cd...

I can't imagine why restoring a previous session (with or without kscd)
should cause kscd to ignore it's autoplay settings but the problem is
gone.

Still if anyone has a clue what caused this please do tell
