Since I boot to runlevel 3 I sometimes watch the text output. Especially
if I've had an non-clean shutdown. IE something said "[failed]" during
the shutdown. So it was that I was looking the last time I booted and
noticed these two lines (copied from dmesg.out [dmesg>dmesg.out]
[4294673.994000] Attempting manual resume
[4294674.001000] swsusp: Suspend partition has wrong signature?
I'm confused that it should be trying to resume anything, I never
attempt any kind of suspend, but always shut down with either
CTRL-ALT-Delete from a virtual console (after having shut down the
x-server with the same three fingered salute)
And I most certainly don't have any partition set up as a suspend
partition. So why would kubuntu be trying to restore from one?
Clues welcomed ;)
