Gabriel, the easiest way to modify the grub setup is to change its
configuration file /etc/grub/menu.lst.

The option "timeout" will control the amount of time the menu is displayed.
The order of the boot options is the order they appear in the menu.
The "kernel" line contains the boot parameters.
