Panasonic KX-7305

I would like to print to this printer from Kubuntu. 
It is a nice, fast laser printer with duplex option.
My computer doesn't have a lpt port. I hooked it up thru usb. After a
reboot, it showed up by name as a usb printer when adding a printer in
system controls. But without drivers and such I can't get it to work.
Has anyone used this printer with kubuntu before?
The linux printing site was not promising.
