It would appear that on Thu Feb 2, art.alexion did say:

vmlinuz-2.6.12-9-386

Nah except for the problems I described getting (some of the time) when
I tell kscd to stop or eject (which stops by default)...

Incidentally, So far I haven't had such problems if I just use the cd
drives eject button, and it hangs up on kscd. But somehow it just don't
feel right doing it that way.

Hmmmmn that doesn't sound like the right way to do things to me either.
But I'm sure there was a strong motivation to go with the 6 month
release cycle... I'm thinking of having two kubuntu installations on my
multi boot PC... When I get breezy as close to how I want it as I can
get, I'll clone it on another partition, and leave one of them alone
when I eventually "apt-get dist-upgrade" the other to what dapper becomes.
Then IF I'm happier with dapper I'll dist-upgrade the other to dapper
and do the same thing for the next release to...

See Yeah
