But in all the examples I've seen (including 
http://users.bigpond.net.au/hermanzone/p3.htm) if there are existing 
partitions on the disk you will see them listed in the screen that appears 
immediately after you select "Manually edit partition table".  All I see is 
"IDE1 master (hda) 80Gb"...no entries below as in the example.  It's almost 
as if the kubuntu installer doesn't see reiserfs partitions.
