how to disable media:/ feature?

I couldn't agree more. The kded is screwed up, I had to disable it completely 
to do anything useful with a CD. For any other device it works fine, 
including USB flash drives and firewire external hard disks.

This is a HIGH priority bug, because it doesn't let one work.

I'm on kubuntu-ppc.
