Darwin Streaming Server

Has anyone out there experimented with Darwin Streaming Server (OSS version
of QuickTime Streaming Server) and gotten it to compile correctly on either
Kubuntu or Ubuntu? (I am currently using Kubuntu 5.10)

While I know how to do the basics for compiling and installing, I can in no
way be considered a programmer or expert.

Thanks for any help someone might be able to provide
