Control Center problem

Hi there, hows things?

Problem:
I Execute the Control Center from main menu.
I see the nice welcome screen to the right of the tree menu.
I expand Internet & Network from the tree menu.
I select Samba or any one of the menu items which have an Administrator Mode
I select Administrator Mode
I type in my user password then...
I see the nice welcome screen to the right of the tree menu.

Does anyone have a solution?

Other than re-installing KUbuntu again, which I have tried out and works 
but..
could get frustrating everytime this happens.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
