thats a valid pt. certainly can't see the concept of "root" that
difficult for anyone to grasp, especially if you're taking the plunge
into 'nx in the first place. afaict, (k)ubuntu parallels what OS X does
with the initial user. every other linux distro uses root. even win uses
admin. 

it more of a good thing to have some lineage e.g. being Debian based.
esp since it's the only major distro that isn't "commercial".
