L10n issues

My dearest blue-headed stepchildren,

As you might have noticed, I was, once again, quite upset with what Jaunty
came up in regards to localization.

Of course, we were able to bring in stuff that actually sets the KDE region
properly. But still the translation experience was througout the cycle not too
shiny and that is reflected in the final product. However, things improved
compared to Intrepid, something to be proud of after all. Perfection still
looks different though, so it is necessary that we get the issues that make us
struggle, resolved once and for all.

In order to archive this, a couple of people (granted, mostly me) worked out a
paper highlighting the most important issues and partially trying to present
possible solutions.

It will be sent to a couple of affected people (that is the rosetta team,
ubuntu translators, ubuntu translation coordinator and kde l10n) to work out a
course of action.

Before I do this (probably tomorrow around the same time) I'd like everyone to
take a quick look at http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=ajk6csn6c2vn_0c6d8rp6w in
case you have additions or feel uncomfortable with the content.

regards,
l10nlogger
