Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/31900

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 linux-image-2.6.15-15-386 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
While starting ubuntu with kernels 2.6.15-15 i386,i686, and 2.6.15-14
i386... upon reaching "Enterpirse Volume Managment" the system hangs
with "Bug: software lockup detected on CPU#0".

Contextual info: Also screen is garbled while in Text mode at beginning.
Somewhat readable. for 15-15 at some point it clear up and becomes
normal. With 15-14 it stays garbled the entire time. It is possible that
for 15-14 that it is infact a kernel panic rather than the lockup. I am
unable to read the screen at that time.
