Hardware:

Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop
Pentium M


Additional context:
First noticed problem after I woke up and found the computer frozen, and attempted to reboot.  Logs indicate that the computer was rebooted  over night (assumingly because of crash: ie not rebooted manually)

Also, when booted to 2.6.10 kernel panics on some wireless network
manipulation. Not sure if this indicates hardware (cpu/memory) problem,
and thus not a kernel bug.  Could be an artifact of having the system
configured (latest dapepr) for 2.6.15 and running 2.6.10.
