Public bug reported:

Affects: acpi (upstream)
       Severity: Unknown
       Priority: Unknown
         Status: Confirmed
Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 acpi-support (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
The system sleeps via the logout dialog or by enabling sleep on lid
close. However, it does not resume.

What it does do on resume is:

> Screen flashes and reponds to the brightness buttons, but does not
show any image.

> Mute button lights up, but the volume buttons remain unresponsive

> Wireless Radio Light turns on. However, attempts to ping the last know
IP address from a different machine fails.

> Hard Drive Light comes on and stays on

> Keyboard is responsive, Caps lock & Num lock seem to work. Ctrl-Alt-F1
and then Ctrl-Alt-F7 kills the keyboard.

> Fan does not turn on.

Laptop details are found here:

Please let me know what other details I can provide. Thanks!
