Does kernel release mean 2.6.16 (dapper+1?) or 2.6.15-21 in Dapper?

My current kernel is  2.6.15-20-686.

Currently, things are already looking better. The laptop now resumes, but the screen remains blank, though the backlight is on. I was able to ssh into the laptop over the wireless network connection, after resume. I could not find the magic command line to resume the screen, however.

Apart from recent upgrades within Dapper, I have disabled the SD card slot in the laptop's bios, as it remains unsupported in the kernel.
