No evidence of your drive in your udev.log

Please confirm to us how it is connected to your computer.  Is it IDE or SCSI?  Which IDE port (Primary/Secondary, Master/Slave) or which SCSI LUN?  Is it neither and connected via USB, a parallel port or some other method?

If possible, take a screenshot of your computer's BIOS POST screen showing the connected device.

Also please attach your /var/log/dmesg file
