I can confirm this. Thanks for the workaround Ulrik, it saves me a reboot.

For me, the problem is triggered if I have amarok open when I sleep. I don't actually have to be playing music, the app just has to be running. Then when I resume, amarok will no longer play any sound, and the sound in wesnoth plays, but is garbled as described by Ulrik.
