Steps to reproduce:

1. Play a song in rythmbox
2. While the song is playing, or paused, suspend the computer
3. Resume and raise volume (set to 0 on resume), click play if paused

=> The sound is garbled, it's recognizable but somehow in random order.

To come back to normal:
1. Start playing a new song in rhythmbox.


This is not only an issue with rhythmbox, though.

The above applies to mpg321 too, with the addition that changing song doesn't change anything, you have to restart mpg321
