Two new bugs discovered by m_3: 1204330 and 1204331

I started a branch for 330 (https://codereview.appspot.com/11478046/), but
I'm up way too late and don't actually trust my code.  I think these are
worth getting fixed ASAP, though.  331 in particular may be worth
discussing with core, since whether or not a service is a subordinate is
not being reported, and that's a potential API change.  In the mean time,
we can glean that from the charm.

Will help in the morning, sorry I'm so useless when I'm this tired... :S
