I've got a branch I've pushed up to work on fixing the category/search
interaction and add the home button link. We agreed to go with a but of a
hack to always show the home button for now until we can get a follow up to
remove it when you're on the home page.

Please feel free to pull that down and QA and let me know if anything
doesn't look right. I've got to finish writing up tests for the changes
I've made and will try to get it up for review before the end of the day.
