Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/33621

Affects: hal (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
       Assignee: Martin Pitt
         Status: In Progress

Description:
This may be not the right place for this bug.

Whenever I execute a script from my ipod of USB disk (both using the vfat file system), I will get this error:
lukas:/media/usbdisk/NIMC$ ./server.py 2000
bash: ./server.py: /usr/bin/python: bad interpreter: Permission denied
lukas:/media/usbdisk/NIMC$ ./msgparser.py 2000
bash: ./msgparser.py: /usr/bin/env: bad interpreter: Permission denied
lukas:/media/usbdisk/NIMC$

All these script work fine when working from my home directory. I have
full read/write/execute permissions to this disk. I'm not sure what the
problem is. The scripts work fine when running via $python msgparser.py
2000
