I certainly don't have deep Qt knowledge but, if you can reproduce
this on Ubuntu, what I would probably do is
* install the relevant ddebs from ddebs.ubuntu.com
* run the whole lot under valgrind or at least gdb
Hopefully then you will get a meaningful traceback.
