Have a look at the bugs linked from my dirstate2 branch; those bugs are
not fixable without changing the working tree format. The requirement to
fix stuff, is to *REDUCE* the number of new formats and their exposure
during development. Go back, oh, 4-5 months and look for a long
thread :).

No, this is a tree format only, its totally local. Upgrade to 2a.
