In the last 24 hours, I've updated the proposed new website and Emma has
uploaded new images/buttons. Here's the net result:
* http://people.canonical.com/~ianc/dancingmonkeys/
poolie is working with Canonical IT staff to get this rolled out
somewhere sensible.
I've also made some supporting changes to the Wiki:
* http://bazaar-vcs.org/Welcome has been simplified.
* http://bazaar-vcs.org/BzrFeatures has been updated. It now includes
a 60 second summary on why teams and communities ought to use Bazaar
(together with lots of information from the old Welcome page).
* http://bazaar-vcs.org/Download has been split into multiple pages.
* http://bazaar-vcs.org/BzrExtras has been added.
Please take a look at these changes and make corrections/improvements as
appropriate.
Still to do in the short term (next few days):
* More consistency and cross-linking between the plugins registry
(http://bazaar-vcs.org/BzrPlugins) and Plugins Guide
(http://doc.bazaar-vcs.org/plugins/en/). In particular:
* reorganise the registry so things are easier to find
* add links to the guide for home pages and branch URLs.
* Rebuild the Migration Docs to have the sidebar on the LHS.
* Refresh the BzrVsXxx pages. These are difficult to keep up to
date given most tools are rapidly evolving. Perhaps they
need to be simplified to "Bazaar rocks. Xxx rocks. Be happy."
Still to do in the medium term:
* Get Desktop Guides put together explaining how to use the GUI tools
on Windows, GNOME, KDE and OS X.
* Provide more information to help users make the switch from
tool Xxx to Bazaar. See
http://doc.bazaar-vcs.org/migration/en/survival/index.html
for the placeholder topics. If you can help with these,
please do.
Thoughts? Anything else important I'm missing?
Ian C.
