It is a general tendency for portable software with lot of variants, like Eclipse.
Well, the latter is worse (although it improved!) because it has so many variants that you 
spend lot of time to find out which one you need!

That's still a long page to load (minor issue in today's Internet, I know) for no real 
usefulness for most visitors... Why the "old downloads" page (beyond, say, 2 or 3 recent 
versions) isn't just separated?
But well, hiding the information (while leaving a way to unhide it for those really 
interested for some old version) is a viable compromise, I suppose.
