selftest on PPA

Interesting... I have installed both the 'binary' and sources from
1.15 PPA and 'bzr version' reports python 2.6.2. My original report
is based on selftest for the 'binary' and I have not built from
sources yet.
Fighting a cold... Might be out for a day. Thanks for the confirmation.
