But in fact, this message does contain non-US-ASCII characters (the î in
Benoît PIERRE at least), and the Content-transfer-encoding is 7-bit.  So
I believe that quoted-printable (or a similar encoding) *is* necessary.

But read carefully, the standard suggests that when 8-bit characters are
present, quoted-printable may be combined with format=flowed.  I believe
that agents which display these messages incorrectly do not comply with
the standard.
