Well, that was kinda my point.  It's not that it's "different", it's
that it's a WM function.

Having to use a WM kill function to close out a window is like having
to use kill(1) to exit your command-line app (y'know, like we all did
the first time we stumbled into vi  ;).  It doesn't leave a positive
taste in your mouth.
