(desperate) problem with bzr and launchpad

Thanks a lot for the detailed reponse and thorough analysis!!!!

I'll try switching to Apache 2 on that machine (from what that machine
is doing, IIRC, that should be OK). If that is not possible, I'll set
it up as a Launchpad hosted branch as you indicate.
