Hi,
are you saying that after installing Xubuntu, it does boot the live
media/installer (USB stick or DVD or...) again, instead of booting the
Xubuntu installed on the SSD?
If so, remove the media first, then in the BIOS' boot order settings
ensure that the SSD containing Xubuntu's bootloader (GRUB), is the
first drive containing a bootloader.
Btw. what media did you use to install Xubuntu?
xubuntu-*-desktop-amd64.iso checked against the gpg signed
checksum? The MinimalCD or something else, e.g. a media from a computer
magazine?
Regards,
Ralf
