[xubuntu-users] Question about BIOS update for Lenovo Ideapad 330 running on Xubuntu 20.04

Unfortunately most laptops only do 1 of 2 methods: only offer a Windows
binary, or an image to be manually written in the bios itself. Sounds like
yours is the former. You'll need to install Windows temporarily to update
the bios on your machine.

There's still only a few manufacturers that released Linux installers for
their bios, and that's quite unfortunate.
