[xubuntu-users] lightdm greeter suddenly appeared and I can't get rid of it

Subject about sums it up.  It doesn't require a password but the greeter 
dialog shows up and I have to hit login.  My computer has been set for 
autologin since I loaded 20.04.  I'm getting odd messages from the 
systemctl status:
