[xubuntu-users] Xubuntu 19.10, Settings power management for screen overruled or ignored

Hi all, I've updated from 19.04 to 19.10. Seems to work fine but I
haven't figured out yet why "XFCE Power Manager" settings are ignored.

System turns off monitor and asks for password - which I turned off in
19.04 and worked fine then.

Situation "XFCE Power Manager" now:
Security tab: Never lock the session.
Display : All sliders to "Never"
Yet, these settings are ignored.

Running command xfce4-screensaver-preferences states in tab "Lock
Screen": "enabled". Contrary to above.

It took me a while to figure out xfce4-screensaver-preferences was the
way to go, thought it might be good to share it.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Display_Power_Management_Signaling
holds some clues. I've described it globally at
https://vanderworp.org/en/the-linux-bricscad-pages-part-4-tuning-linux/#Screensavers_power_management
