[xubuntu-users] Qt apps don't follow the GTK+ theme

Hello! I have this installation of Xubuntu since 16.04, and have been 
upgrading every 6 months. While most things have been working well, Qt 
apps are ignoring the GTK+ theme since Zesty. I have upgraded today to 
Artful, and the problem persists.

I have removed ~/.config/Trolltech.conf and ~/.config/QtProject.conf, 
and copied a new Trolltech.conf from /etc/skel/, and it did not work.

The following environment variables are also available:
QT_ACCESSIBILITY=1
QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=gtk2
