[xubuntu-users] Keyboard Indicator has no icon

This is an old problem. I have two identical Laptops: One shows the
icon the other one shows an empty space. The first one was installed
using the "Ubuntu"-DVD (I've installed xfce some days later). The second
one was installed using the "Xubuntu"-DVD.
I made some "experiments" last year: Maybe it has something to do with
an icon-cache-file. If you install "Ubuntu" this cache contains the
keyboard-icon. If you use the "Xubuntu"-DVD the icon-cache doesn't
contain this icon. I wasn't able to figure out, how to rebuild this
cache. Don't know where I have stored the notes about this research,
This is all the information I remeber.
