when it comes to "wrapers", I'm like a year 1 walking among uni graduates,

Thanks as well, Fred, I have of course read a lot on the Unix/Linux shells,
differences, functions, history, etc, but being such a crucial issue as it
is, I don't think I will ever read enough on it, specially as it keeps
evolving....
